The RCCB protects against leakage currents, electrical shocks, and insulation faults. For single-phase domestic setups, a 30mA rated RCCB is standard . Branch MCBs (Single or Double Pole): The output of the RCCB feeds the branch MCBs. Single-pole MCBs are used for standard lighting and socket circuits, while double-pole MCBs may be used for special loads requiring both phase and neutral disconnection . Neutral and Earth Links: All neutral wires from branch circuits connect to a neutral busbar, which is linked to the RCCB neutral output. All earth wires connect to an earth busbar, which is bonded to the main earth electrode for proper grounding . Busbars: Copper busbars distribute power efficiently from the main MCB/RCCB to the branch MCBs, ensuring stable voltage and current flow .Wiring SequenceConnect the incoming phase and neutral to the main double-pole MCB.Connect the output of the main MCB to the input terminals of the RCCB.Connect the RCCB output to the common busbar feeding all branch MCBs.Connect branch MCB outputs to the respective circuits (lighting, sockets, AC units, etc.).Connect all neutral wires to the neutral busbar and all earth wires to the earth busbar.Ensure proper labeling of circuits for maintenance and safety .Safety ConsiderationsVerify that the main feeder cable can handle the total anticipated load.Ensure all devices are rated appropriately for the connected load.Maintain proper separation and insulation of live, neutral, and earth conductors.Follow local electrical codes and standards for installation .
